MONTHLY TIME SHEET INFORMATION
Monthly Time Sheets are required to keep record of the time Student spends in each subject whether in independent study, online study, or tutorial class. (IF taking a tutorial class, show time spent in class and at home).A minimum of 120 hours per subject per year is required for each full credit, and a minimum of 60 hours per subject per year is required for each half credit. Student should be able to keep time journal, but it must be verified by the Parent/Primary Educator. The time sheet is based on the monthly attendance sheet. You List the subjects, put time increments in the days of the month, and an X in the days that student DOES NOT spend time in subject. Time should be totaled monthly by Hours, and Time Year to Date totaled by Hours. This time sheet is to be turned in monthly to TRINITY CENTER (Only). The time sheet DOES NOT have to be turned in to your Local County Superintendent. Only the Monthly Attendance Sheet is turned in to your Local County Superintendent. IT IS REQUIRED THAT EACH STUDENT/PARENT COMPLETE THIS FORM MONTHLY TO RECEIVE CREDIT OF EACH SUBJECT. *This is required by the Georgia Accrediting Commission so that Trinity Center can show that each CREDIT that is given meets the requirement of a minimum of 120 clock hours for a full credit or a minimum of 60 hours for a half credit. ******* GUIDELINE: 120 SCHOOL HOURS PER 1 CREDIT COURSE OR 60 HOURS PER ½ CREDIT COURSE:REQUIREMENT: Monthly time sheets should be turned into Trinity Center Only (not to local County Superintendent) to show completion of hours required per course whether in Independent Home Study, Online Classes, or Tutorial Classes. Though the requirement states that each school day should consist of 4.5 hours, this is the minimum. A high school Student will usually spend more than 4.5 hours each day if they have 5 to 6 high school credit courses which require 120 hours per credit course. · Independent Home Study Courses for a full credit (2 semester) course: Student should spend a minimum of 40 minutes a day in each full credit course for 180 days totaling the minimum 120 hours per each full credit (2 semester) course; a total of 3 and ½ hours per week (36 weeks) per full credit course. · Independent Home Study Courses for a half credit (1 semester) course: Student should spend a minimum of 40 minutes a day in each course for 90 days totaling the minimum 60 hours per each half credit (1 semester) course; a total of 3 and ½ hours per week (18 weeks) per half credit course. · Home’sCool Depot Tutorial Classes taught one (1) hour 2-days a week in two 17 week semesters (34 weeks/68 days/68 hours) for a full credit course: Student will complete 68 hours (2 hours for 34 weeks) in class per full credit course. Student will need to complete a minimum of 52 hours in assignments in independent study at home the other 3 days of the week equaling a minimum of 120 hours per full credit (2 semesters) course. To complete the 52 hours in independent study at home, Student should spend a minimum of 30 minutes per course 3 days a week completing assignments for tutorial class (1 and ½ hours per week). Because of Semesters being 17 weeks each (34 weeks), Student will need to complete about 10 days (2 weeks) of supplemental work to cover the 180 days required for each school year. · Tutorial Class taught in two 17 weeks semesters (34 weeks) per full credit course: Attends class 2 hours 1 day a week, Student will complete 68 hours (2 hours for 34 weeks) in class per full credit course. Student will need to complete a minimum of 52 hours in assignments in independent study at home the other 4 days of the week equaling a minimum of 120 hours per full credit (2 semester) course. To complete the 52 hours in independent study at home, Student should spend a minimum of 25 minutes per course 4 days a week completing assignments for tutorial class (1-1/2 hours per week). OR Attends class 1 and ½ hours 1 day a week, Student will complete 51 hours (1-1/2 hours for 34 weeks) in class per full credit course. Student will need to complete a minimum of 69 hours in assignments in independent study at home the other 4 days of the week equaling a minimum of 120 hours per full credit (2 semester) course. To complete the 69 hours in independent study at home, Student should spend a minimum of 30 minutes per course 4 days a week completing assignments for tutorial class (2 hours per week). Because of Semesters being 17 weeks each (34 weeks), Student will need to complete about 10 days (2 weeks) of supplemental work to cover the 180 days required for each school year. · Tutorial Classes taught in two 18 week semesters (36 weeks) per full credit course: Attends class 2 hours 1 day a week, they will complete 72 hours (2 hours for 36 weeks) in class per full credit course. Student will need to complete a minimum of 48 hours in assignments in independent study at home the other 4 days of the week equaling a minimum of 120 hours per full credit (2 semester) course. To complete 48 hours in independent study at home, Student should spend a minimum of 20 minutes per course 4 days a week completing assignments for tutorial class (1 hour and 20 minutes per week). OR Attends class 1 and ½ hours 1 day a week, they will complete 54 hours (2 hours for 36 weeks) in class per full credit course. Student will need to complete a minimum of 66 hours in assignments in independent study at home the other 4 days of the week equaling a minimum of 120 hours per full credit (2 semester) course. To complete the 66 hours in independent study at hoe, Student should spend a minimum of 30 minutes per course 4 days a week completing assignments for tutorial class (2 hours per week). ***Whether in Independent Home Study Courses, Online Courses, Courses taught by Private Tutor, and/or Courses taken in Tutorial classes, a minimum of 120 hours in each Course must be completed for a full credit course, and a minimum of 60 hours must be completed for a half credit course. Time spent on each academic course (including independent study time or tutorial class time) by the Student should be kept for every Course on the Monthly Time Sheet and verified by the Parent/Primary Home Educator. | Skip Calendar Calendar
